“BIRDIES” is a feature comedy in development from Tight Lies about a washed up golf phenom, Jake Baxter, who gets a second chance to live his dream when the eccentric owner of Twin Pines Country Club, Charlie Conroy, hires Jake as his head pro.

JAKE BAXTER (32) Our hero. A lazy mans man. Despite being unnaturally talented on the links, getting the boot in college left him tainted and working for his fathers bug company. Things are about to change.

CHARLIE CONROY (49) Twin Pines owner. A manic “wild man” who’s been through just about everything, has taken it all with a grain of salt, keeps coming back for more. He loves life, playing jokes, and surrounding himself with other colorful characters. He also loves to gamble.

NICK FOGERTY (40) Twin Pines superintendent. A fun loving guy with an ever-present and slightly deranged smile. He takes care of business but keeps it fun at the same time. Maybe too fun.

MRS. CONROY (47) Charlie Conroy’s wife. The ultimate trophy wife and cool as they come. Even to the point of helping out with her husband’s pranks.

JARVIS HALL (66) Magnolia Pointes owner. Everyone on this earth is beneath him in his eyes, including his son. He does respect Conroy to some extent and nobody really knows why.

ADRIAN HALL (32) Magnolia Pointe’s pro. Jarvis’ son and future owner of Magnolia Pointe. He has been handed everything on a platter including his current position. His cockiness along with his insecurities make for one magnificent douche bag.

The production element of “Birdies” is finished for the time being.
We have a 12-minute pitch piece, a 2 ½ minute trailer to showcase
the concept and the talent involved, and six season episodes are
currently being penned by our writing team. Our creative staff is
hard at work creating additional content to further educate
potential distributors on our vision for the show.
